Single Session Implant

Single Session Implant Treatment: Quick Solution to Edentlessness Problem

In cases of tooth loss or edentulism, traditional implant treatment usually involves several months of healing following the placement of the implant. However, today, quick solutions such as single-session implant treatment are also possible, especially in line with the desire of patients to shorten the waiting time.

What is a Single Session Implant?

Single-session implant means placing the implant and attaching a temporary or permanent dental crown on it in the same session. This method is especially suitable for patients who want to shorten the waiting time or for patients who have no teeth. This treatment is performed using special techniques and quality implants.

How to Perform Implants and Veneers on the Same Day?

  1. Patient Evaluation: In the first stage, patient evaluation is performed. Having healthy and sufficient bone thickness is important for this rapid treatment method to be successful.
  2. Implant Placement: Specially prepared surface-active implants are placed in areas with sufficient bone thickness. These implants integrate with the bone faster than normal implants.
  3. Measurement Taking and Coating Preparation: If the patient has partial edentulism in his mouth, dental impressions are taken with the CEREC device immediately after the implant is placed. The special coating is produced and attached to the patient within half an hour.
  4. Planning in Patients with No Teeth: If the patient has no teeth in the upper or lower jaw, first a 3D dental tomography is taken from the patient. The places where the implants will be placed are determined from the tomography image. Implant templates and prostheses are prepared with a 3D printer.
  5. Implant Placement and Crown Installation: Implants are placed painlessly using templates, and then the previously prepared prosthetic crowns are installed in the same session.

Advantages and Things to Consider:

  • Quick Solution: Single-session implant treatment allows patients to get their teeth back on the same day.
  • Healthy Bone Requirement: For this method to be successful, it is important to have adequate and healthy bone structure.
  • Technology and Quality Implants: Special implants and three-dimensional printing technology must be used for this treatment.
  • Specialist Physician Supervision: This quick treatment method should be applied by an experienced dentist.

While single-session implant treatment offers a fast and effective solution, it may not be suitable for every patient. Therefore, the feasibility of this treatment option should be evaluated together by the patient and the dentist.
